Hello guys, if you are wondering where, who are you going to go with on a summer camp? Chose Ms. Thao and Ms. Ha’s summer Camping group to have the best experiences while camping abroad.
Do you know why I was interested in the trip? One of the main reasons is I could eat such good food in Singapore, Indonesia. In Singapore, I have eaten the famous Nasi lemak and Nasi goreng of Malaysia. For anyone that is new to Malaysian cuisine Nasi lemak is a dish of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves. It is commonly found in Malaysia, and other countries near Malaysia like Singapore. And Nasi goreng is Indonesian fried rice with egg and a fried chicken wing. The other days, I ate rice with fried shrimp and mashed potato. They always served our foods with sambal sauce. Sambal is an Indonesian sauce usually made from a mixture of various chili peppers with extra ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger, shallots, scallions, jaggery, and lime juice.
Finally, in Indonesia, I have experienced the food that I love the most – rendang I will talk more about this food because it’s my favorite. Rendang is cooked by simmering, greasy film with coconut milk and spices can be described by many adjectives such as rich, spicy, melt in the mouth, rendang is as complex as its multi-layered and rich flavor. There is a stage before you can cook rendang, called kali, which is the stage of simmering the meat with spices and coconut milk until the water has drained and becomes a paste. The secret lies in the need for good ingredients, delicious sambal minced chili sauce, a balance of spices, along with the patience of the chef.
Thanks to Batam Primary School for cooking me rendang. Multi – respect to the chef who cooked me this food. Thank you for reading my review about the
reallyyyyy good food that I have eaten all along this trip. Hope you enjoy the trip too!
